ibbs messages not displaying properly

From Nigel Reed@VERT to GitLab issue in main/sbbs on Sat Jul 18 15:15:51 2026

open https://gitlab.synchro.net/main/sbbs/-/issues/1189

I sent myself a test message from eotlbbs to vert, which I was not logged into.

```
 InterBBS  Anyone: Telegram, Active-Users: Message/List, or Quit: Telegram
Destination (user@hostname): nelgin@vert.synchro.net
5 lines maximum (blank line sends, Ctrl-C to abort)
: Testing
:
Message sent to: nelgin@vert.synchro.net successfully ```
Then when I logged into vert, I got this... ![image](https://gitlab.synchro.net/-/project/13/uploads/7e0eac03d91a82aa6d8851a63ffa1860/image.png){width=876 height=188}
Not what I was expecting.
